Obama Administration Created Tax Loophole for Jets

President Obama has gone on the verbal warpath during the current debt ceiling negotiations by chiding Republicans to “Eat their peas” and trying to shame them by saying if his daughter can get her homework done on time, Congress should be able to get their work done on time. Tactics you’d expect from a 13 year old, but something we’ve come to expect from one who is becoming known as “The Great Divider.”

Obama’s $20B Proposal: A Drop in the Bucket

Although in the early stages, the battle lines are already being drawn in the sand over the Presidents reported proposal to force mortgage lenders and servicers to either pay fines of over $20 billion or to modify an equal amount of mortgage loans by writing down the principal balances.

On one side you have the mortgage industry, although yet to receive any proposal from the Obama Administration, they are already sounding the warning bell by claiming that writing down principal balances will do little to help the already fragile market recover and that $20 billion is too high. In support of the banking industry claim, they cite that in just over a year since the government loan modification programs began, loan modifications have done little to stop the foreclosure crisis; despite the fact the mortgage industry has privately modified twice as many loans as the governments crown jewel, HAMP. In the first year alone, 20 percent of all loan modifications have already defaulted again with the government projecting that ultimately as many as 60 to 70 percent of loan modifications will default a second time.

And on the other side, we have the always vocal Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Ca), who claims that the President’s proposal does not go far enough. For evidence, Ms. Waters cites the very liberal Center for Responsible Lending estimates that foreclosures between 2009 and 2012 will result in $1.86 trillion in lost wealth for families.

CoreLogic estimates that the nation has an aggregate negative equity of $744 billion. So what’s $20 billion going to do? If the first thing that came to your mind was “nothing,” then we’ve found some common ground. It’s like using a garden hose to put out a house fire…a drop in the bucket.

Why Bernanke Must Go

Federal Reserve Board chairman Ben Bernanke, in testimony before the Senate Banking Committee, said he is dismayed by the persistence of high foreclosure rates, declining home values, and the futility of government efforts to engineer a recovery in the housing market.

AARP: Welcome to Hypocrites Paradise

We just have to offer a charter membership to AARP for it’s participation in support of the Obama regimes drive to ram healthcare down our throats and then turning on it’s employees when it comes time to pay for it. AARP heavily lobbied for the passage of the Healthcare Bill and was the leader in advertising it on TV to try to drum up support for it with the American people.

Why MSNBC Hates Fox News

If you’ve ever had the displeasure of having to sit through an evening of MSNBC’s nightly news lineup, it’s quite apparent that they absolutely hate Fox News. How can you tell? They never stop talking about them! But if there’s any truth to that old saying, “The proof is in the pudding,” the election night rating results are in and as usual, MSNBC’s leftist extremist lineup came in dead last again. Even without the election night coverage, Fox News constantly stomps on MSNBC sometimes with ratings as high 8 to 1.

More Healthcare Woes

The new health care law wasn’t supposed to undercut employer plans that have provided most people in the U.S. with coverage for generations, but what the Obama regime doesn’t want to talk about especially with the mid-term elections so near is that more and more employers are considering cutting employer healthcare plans.

Liar Liar Barbara Boxer

If there were truth in advertising laws Barbara Boxer, along with many other politicians, would have to be arrested and sent to jail for crimes against advertising. One of the worse and most inaccurate political ads of this election season is the continuous ad being ran by Boxer highlighting Carly Fiorina’s actions while CEO of Hewlitt Packard.

Blumenthal Stumped on How to Create a Job

In what has to be one of the most classic moments of this election season, when Democratic candidate Dick Blumenthal was asked in his debate with GOP candidate Linda McMahon to explain how to create a job, Blumenthal babbled for almost a minute and a half and in the end still didn’t give us an answer on how to create a job. McMahons well explained response took all of 19 seconds. Check it out here:

Unemployment Rate Jumps to 22.5%

With the release of the latest jobs report from the Labor Department, the “true” unemployment rate as reported by Shadowstats.com jumped from 22% in August to 22.5% in September. The hardest hit sectors were teachers and local government workers. It was the largest amount of layoffs reported in these sectors in three decades and it more than offset weak hiring in the private sector. The official government unemployment rate remained stuck at 9.6%. The large jump in the unemployment rate came from the underemployed sector and the already jobless who weren’t actively seeking employment.

Public Union Employees Outnumber Private Union Employees

Its official…there are now more public sector union employees than private sector union employees. Mark 2010 as the year that the union label no longer means Made in America, but bankrupted America. After decades of raising American labor costs and consequently seeing these jobs move overseas, unions have long had their eye on taking over the government sector and we can expect to see an expansion of that plan for years to come under the Obama administration. Approximately 35% of all government workers now belong to a union, numbering about 7.6 million, or nearly 52% of all union members in the United States.
