Why MSNBC Hates Fox News

If you’ve ever had the displeasure of having to sit through an evening of MSNBC’s nightly news lineup, it’s quite apparent that they absolutely hate Fox News. How can you tell? They never stop talking about them! But if there’s any truth to that old saying, “The proof is in the pudding,” the election night rating results are in and as usual, MSNBC’s leftist extremist lineup came in dead last again. Even without the election night coverage, Fox News constantly stomps on MSNBC sometimes with ratings as high 8 to 1.

Fox News Channel came out on top during the one hour of midterm election coverage when the three broadcast networks and the cable news channels competed head-to-head.

The Nielsen Co. said Thursday that Fox had 6.94 million viewers during the 10 p.m. hour Tuesday. NBC was second with 6.27 million, followed by CBS with 5.86 million and ABC with 5.53 million. CNN had 2.59 million viewers during that key hour and MSNBC had 2.04 million. That’s right Fox News had two and half times as many viewers as MSNBC on the most important night of the year. In fact, liberal cable news stations CNN and MSNBC’s total viewership didn’t even equal the next highest rated station, ABC, combined!

MSNBC’s election line-up of commentators Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Lawrence O’Donnell and Eugene Robinson in the studio, along with Ed Schultz in Las Vegas Has drawn criticism for it’s lack of allowing any conservative insight on it’s show as the only real conservative interview was with Minnesota GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann, while Fox News along with it’s bevy of conservative commentators had Democratic strategists at every round table discussion to give liberal viewpoints.

The only time I tuned into MSNBC myself…they were bashing Fox News.

So if I may make a suggestion to MSNBC, stop whining and bashing Fox News, your viewership is suffering from it. In case you didn’t know, Fox News’ success is really based on the fact that the majority of American’s are still conservative in their beliefs. Bashing Fox News and having a liberal bias will never provide you with the viewership you seek. And if you’re not careful you may end up like Air America.

One other suggestion, have Rachel Maddow change her hairstyle so she doesn’t look like she’s trying to copy Sean Hannity.
